Yoga Tips

Before you begin your practice, some helpful tips...

  • It is recommended that you practice yoga on an empty stomach: 2-3 hours after a meal and at least 1 hour after a snack. 
  • Please wear comfortable non-binding stretchy clothing.  Bare foot is recommended for practice.
  • It is advisable to practice on your own clean yoga mat (these can be purchased inexpensively from many retailers; mats can be washed in your bathtub or gentle cycle in your washing machine with mild soap).  There are mats available at West End Yoga for use or for purchase.
  • It is recommended to drink plenty of water after your yoga practice to flush toxins and to rehydrate.
  • Please avoid wearing fragrance to class.
  • Please tell the instructor before class if you have an injury or are pregnant.
