Beth Wernham’s journey in yoga began 16 years ago when she discovered the practice as a way to manage the anxiety and stresses of life. In her experiences of both gentle and Ashtanga styles of yoga, she found a wonderful blend between the two in her own practice and her teaching through a vinyasa flow style. She received her 200-hour certification through Open Heart Yoga several years ago and was certified as a LifeForce Yoga Instructor Level 1 at Kripalu in the summer of 2009.
As a licensed clinical social worker, Beth has also developed an interest in understanding yoga as a transformational process, and in the past, has used yoga techniques in sessions with clients. She enjoys working with individual students, designing sessions to meet their needs. Currently Beth is teaching vinyasa flow classes at The Fitness Plaza in Fogelsville, and a beginner’s class for a private residential community. She has also taught yoga workshops and classes with teens.
